How to Save Selected Text for NotebookLM | Mervadon
Capture a focused passage from a webpage while preserving its source URL and page context in Mervadon.
Result
You keep a passage that matters to the research question without losing the page it came from.
Steps
- Open the source webpage and wait for the relevant passage to load.
- Select the text you want to preserve.
- Open Mervadon from the active tab and choose selected-text capture.
- Review the selected text, source title, and page URL.
- Save the record and add it to the appropriate local collection.
Why preserve the page context
Selected text is useful only when you can inspect its origin later. Mervadon keeps the source URL and metadata beside the passage so you can return to the full page, compare a claim, or find a primary source.
Expected result
The local Workspace contains a focused source record with the selected passage and its page context.
If it does not work
Try selecting a smaller contiguous passage, reload the page, and confirm that page access was granted for this intentional capture. If you need the whole context, use full-page capture.
Keep the next useful source.
Capture and organize the research that should stay connected to the final NotebookLM artifact.
